From the ashes…

Rest now, my sinful soul, banished from your home,
Sleeping on a bed of burning flames and broken, scattered bones,
Judged by false prophets and minions of hell with silent, humbling words,
Accused and condemned to torturous exile behind the walls of the world,
Haunted and cursed for ever, ‘til the end of time,
Frozen in purgatory, somewhere between heaven and hell,
Stunned by cruel reality around, poisoned by that dread sulphurous smell,
It reminds me how you treated me in times of my greatest agony,
How you hissed acid on my face, each time I was in good harmony,
the affirmative proof came into life in your head,
it was the fire that burned me before the execution,
I hadn’t even chance to free myself, to prove my innocence,
‘cause no matter what I said, everyone saw me as complete mad,
except death there wasn’t for me any other resolution,
my freedom and life was taken behind a colossal prison fence.

Dragged through hell to the deepest black abyss and then back again,
Endless suffering of my lost soul and all of my power drained,
Weakened to death, but it didn’t come, the redemption was denied to me,
The torment continued, with no sign it would ever end,
It seems my spirit will forever swim in the river of fire,
With chains of pain on my hands, whose bearer will never be set free,
Forsaken past, lost present, pale future, from that weight my back bends,
For all eternity I will know only this barren shire,
For beliefs, resistance and even poor existence I’ll be hunted by my foes,
They used to be friends and now they want to cut my throat,
I tried to flee but I was caught, ‘cause someone betrayed me,
And they didn’t listen when I begged them to let me breathe,
On the still-beating heart they turned their wrath,
the destiny came, finally caught me Grim Reaper, the messenger of death.

And so I’ve found the peace, the path to heaven, a rainbow from nature,
Only few steps up the stairway to reach the gate,
The door to the One, it is guarded by angels and holy men,
but as they saw me, impoverished and exhausted shadow, a creature,
sad, hopeless, abandoned by the others, crippled by many twists of fate,
looking as it survived crossing through the uttermost evil den,
they showed mercy on me, took my hand and admitted me inside,
it was like a resurrection, I was healed, my strengths were restored,
my inside could feel happy again, really fresh it is,
now the hunger for revenge grows within to something I cannot hide,
my vengeance to you will be cruel, frightful pain for you with an encore,
‘cause I’ve become a dark shiny angel that has risen from the ashes.
